Assistive Technology

Assistive technology is any item, tool, equipment, technology that is being used to help a student with disabilities to improve, increase, or maintain their capabilities.  There are many different items that can be used for this purpose.  Below, I have attached a presentation that I created as an example of tools that we could use for a student named "Jack". If your child, or any child in the classroom is in need of assistive technology, this presentation is an example of what we could do to help.  However, there are many more options and the options can vary depending on the individual child's needs.
