ABCya
ABCya is a great website for students to practice with. It has games and activities for math, reading, strategy, and skills. Some of my favorite games are Keyboard Zoo, Nouns and Verbs, and Place Value Hockey!
Starfall
Starfall is a great website that students can use to practice beginning reading skills. Students can play games, have words and sentences read to them to practice basic skills.
Technology: Product
The ISTE standards for students are designed so that learning is a student-drive process and that they are prepared for the technology world.
For example, the second standard states that students are to understand the rights and responsibilities of living and working is a digital world.

The sixth standard states that students should clearly express themselves for a variety of purposes utilizing technological platforms.
​
We utilize these standards during our literacy block to help prepare our students for the technological world. You will notice throughout the year that your student may be using technology to create or express their learning.
